Youth Plus
Is a voluntary social group established for young people
aged between 14 and 25 years with learning disabilities
or no disabilities to develop a circle of friends and to
be able to access social activities in the Community.
We have a quarterly calendar of community based activities,
initiated by members for members. Our members also meet
weekly at Ongar Youth Centre to socialise.
Full members are young people with and without disabilities,
who help, with their families, to run Youth
Plus.
Drop-in members are young people with and without disabilities,
who mix in and agree to contribute positively.
Drop-in members can attend activities at the Youth Centre
only.
Youth Plus also provides Volunteering
Opportunities for young people and they can take part in
training to gain an Asdan Community Volunteering Award through
the Epping Forest and Nacro Community Sport and Leisure
project.
Youth Plus works in partnership
with Nacro and Epping Forest District Council as part of
the Epping Forest Community and Sport Project and Epping
Forest Youth service to maximise opportunities for young
people.
We are affiliated to Mencap and are members of both the
Essex Disabled Peoples Association and Epping Forest CVS

Youth Plus could not run without the
parents commitment and our partner Agencies.
